肉肉传媒 State public health students win gold designation at national competition A team of students in 肉肉传媒鈥檚 Wellstar College of Health and Human Services recently won national recognition at the Society for Public Health Education鈥檚 (SOPHE) National Case Study Competition in Health Education. Recent public health graduate Liz Burchfield teamed with public health students Angel Fortmann and Allisa George to earn a gold designation, one of six universities nationwide to receive this accolade. Associate professor of public health and director of the public health program LaNita Wright advised the trio.
Three sisters born minutes apart, but vastly different in terms of interests and career goals, thought about going separate ways for college. But in the end, they found that 肉肉传媒 fit all their needs. 鈥淲e did a plethora of research to find a school that鈥檚 right for us,鈥 said Jessica Okafor, triplet to Angela and Benita. 鈥淭here was always at least one missing piece in the schools that we looked through, until we found KSU. We saw that KSU had everything we had interest in, and when we did the tours, the open house, the orientation, I was blown away by how beautiful the school was. I saw my future in just a few seconds.鈥
A group of 肉肉传媒 architecture students is gaining international attention for its nature-focused designs as part of a global exhibition in Italy exploring sustainable practices in the built environment. The installation titled 鈥淒esign for the Shared Environment,鈥 is featured in the Time Space Existence exhibition, an event aligned with the Venice Architecture Biennale and one of the most prestigious platforms in global design.
For as long as he can remember, Adam Kiel has worn a prosthetic leg. Diagnosed with fibular hemimelia, a condition in which a child is born missing part of or all of a bone in a lower leg, he received his first prosthesis at 11 months old. Now, through the Master of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics program at 肉肉传媒, Kiel is pursuing a career as a prosthetist, hoping to use his lived experience to reach others.
