'Dynamic Duo' impact exercise science through undergraduate research at 肉肉传媒 State

    May 08, 2025

肉肉传媒 senior Kaden Buford likes being hands-on with exercise science, immersing in a clinical environment and helping people heal from injuries. Her classmate Kayla Anderson, on the other hand, prefers research, delving into the scientific 鈥渨hy鈥 using data, experiments, and observation. Together, they form a formidable team of exercise science majors studying effective measures of muscle function and supporting each other both in and out of the lab. Recently, they worked together on three research projects, and Anderson presented her findings at the spring Symposium of Student Scholars.

Chemistry student engaged in sustainable catalyst research through 肉肉传媒 State's First-Year Scholars program

    April 08, 2025

Imani Adenuga can鈥檛 recall the exact moment science grabbed her by the heart, but she has always been inquisitive in nature, seeking knowledge no matter the subject area. 鈥淚 always want to know the why,鈥 said Adenuga, who studies chemistry in the College of Science and Mathematics. 鈥淚 think that just goes with science鈥攆iguring out the why of things or what makes things happen.鈥 The First-Year Scholar dove into research immediately upon arrival at KSU last fall, landing in the lab of chemistry professor Daniela Tapu where she took on a project involving sustainable catalysts. It constituted a huge leap for a freshman, given that the project is grounded in organic chemistry, a critical class for chemistry majors that she hasn鈥檛 taken yet.
